We refer to above news article appearing in The Edge Malaysia on 13 May 2024 with particular reference to the sentences reproduced as follows:

“Only three of the local companies that bagged these 14 contracts were named – TM Technology Services Sdn Bhd, Telekom Malaysia Bhd (KL:TM) and Labuan Shipyard Engineering Sdn Bhd – without specifics of the size of the contracts won. At the time of writing, TM had not made any announcement to the stock exchange on the matter.”

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) wishes to clarify as follows:

1.TM, via our wholly owned subsidiary i.e. TM Technology Services Sdn Bhd, signed the following two (2) contracts with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) during the previous Defence Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition & Conference 2024 and National Security (NATSEC) 2024 held on 8 May 2024 at MITEC:

a) Contract 1 is a 6-month extension from the original 3 years contract, commenced in 2021. It relates to Managed Network Connectivity services valued at RM 71 million. Letter of Award for this extension was accepted by TM on 27 March 2024; and

b) Contract 2 is for Managed ICT services valued at RM49.5 million for 2 years from 2022, ending in 2024. Letter of Award was accepted by TM on 5 September 2022.

2. These contracts are in the ordinary course of TM’s business, and not material to TM Group.

None of the directors, major shareholders or person connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the contracts awarded.

TM consistently ensures that all material transactions are disclosed in accordance with the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
