Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, VADS Berhadhad, on 15 March 2017, acquired the two (2) ordinary subscribers’ shares in VADS DigitalSdn Bhd(VADS Digital) for a total cash consideration of RM2.00 (hereafter be referred to as the “Acquisition”).

Information on VADS Digital

VADS Digital was incorporated on 17 October 2016 and has yet tocommencebusiness. As at 15 March 2017, its issued and paid up share capitalis RM2.00.

Rationale for the Acquisition

VADS Digital was acquired to facilitate TM Group’s provision of a comprehensive range of information and communication technology (ICT) services to end users including but not limited to Internet of Things and data centre management.

Financial Impact

The Acquisition is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated earnings of TM for the financial year ending 31 December 2017.

Interest of Directors, Substantial Shareholders

None of the Directors, substantial shareholders of the Company and/or persons connected to them has any interest, whether direct or indirect, in the Acquisition.

The Acquisition is not subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Company or other relevant authorities.
