We refer to the previous announcement made on 28 April 2006 where it was announced that Celcom, a
wholly owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia Berhad, and TRI, a wholly owned subsidiary of Celcom, had
commenced legal proceedings in the High Court of Malaya and had also filed an ex-parte application for
leave to issue and serve the Writ of Summons upon certain former directors of Celcom and TRI in
Germany and/or Singapore in the manner required under the Rules of the High Court 1980.


The former directors concerned are (i) Dieter Sieber (ii) Dr. Frank-Reinhard Bartsch (iii) Joachim Gronau

(iv) Joerg Andreas Boy (v) Axel Hass and (vi) Oliver Tim Axmann.

We wish to announce that the said application was heard ex-parte in the High Court today and that leave to

issue and serve the Writ of Summons on the said former directors was accordingly granted.

Celcom and TRI will proceed to take the necessary steps to effect service of the Writ of Summons upon the

said former directors in the manner provided for under the rules of court and in accordance with the order

for leave.
