| 1) The total number of securities of 170,380,300 includes 8,148,200 underlying shares of covered warrants purchased in the name of HSBC (M) Trustee Bhd as trustee for discretionary mandates managed by Hwang-DBS Investment Management Bhd ("HDIM"). HDIM is a subsidiary of Hwang-DBS (Malaysia) Bhd which is in turn approximately 23% owned by DBS Vickers Securities (Malaysia) Pte. Ltd. ("DBSVM"). DBSVM is a subsidiary of DBS Group Holdings Limited, which Temasek owns approximately 28.4%. Temasek is deemed to have an interest in the shares of Telekom Malaysia Berhad ("TM") managed by HDIM pursuant to S6A(4)(c) of the Companies Act, 1965. 2) The percentage holding of 5.02% was based on TM's total issued and paid-up ordinary shares as at 1 February 2006. |
