Following deliberation and consultation with our auditors in respect of the appropriate accounting treatment, we wish to inform the Exchange that the payment which was made under protest will result in the decline of TM Group's earnings by approximately RM879.5 million or 26 sen per share based on TM Group's consolidated Financial Results for the financial year ended 31 December 2005.

We wish to reiterate that the payment to DeTe will not have any operational impact on TM Group.
