We refer to the above news article appearing in Business Times, pages 1 and 28, on Friday, 17 November 2000, wherein it was stated as follows:-

"THREE foreign telecommunications companies are conducting due diligence on a possible tie-up with Telekom Malaysia Berhad, in particular its subsidiary Telekom Cellular Sdn Bhd."

TM's evaluation of prospective foreign telecommunication companies as its partner for its cellular business is still at a preliminary stage. An appropriate announcement will be made to the Exchange as soon as firm decisions are in place and an agreement has been reached.
