Pursuant to Practice Note No. 3/2001 on Disclosure in relation to Internet-related business or e-commerce activities, we are pleased to announce the progress of MySpeed.com Sdn Bhd ("MySpeed"), a joint venture company between Telekom Malaysia Berhad ("TM"), Pernec Corporation Berhad, Heitech Padu Sdn Bhd and Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, the principal activity of which is to provide the following services, namely, the Electronic Delivery of Driver and Vehicle Registration Licencing and Summons Services, Utility Bills Payment, limited to payment of electricity and telephone bills, and Ministry of Health On-Line Information and others.
The abovementioned services are now officially known as "eServices" (in English) or "eKhidmat" (in Bahasa Malaysia). The Road Transport Department (JPJ) Summons Information and Summons Payment, KEJARA information, Tenaga Nasional Berhad's (TNB) bill information and bill payment services have passed the Integration and User Acceptance Tests and are in operation since July 18, 2001. Launching of the abovementioned services have been targeted in early September 2001.
To date, expansion to other delivery channels such as kiosks and Telephone (IVR) is in progress.
The other services to be available soon will be TM's bills payments and JPJ's "Korikulum Pendidikan Pemandu (KPP)" new syllabus theory test (Part 1 ) application.
Business Process Re-enginneering for Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) and proposals for Jabatan Kastam dan Eksais Diraja (JKED) and Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) are still in progress.
