With respect to the above, Telekom Malaysia wishes to confirm that it has not made any such offer.
We refer to the above news article appearing in Business Times, Companies &
Markets section, page 13, on Monday, 4 February 2002, a copy of which is
enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:-
"... the national utility company has just made a final offer to purchase
between 10 and 20 per cent of TRI shares at RM3.80 each."
