Further to our reply to the query from the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange dated 11 September 2002 regarding the above mentioned matter, we wish to confirm that Indonesian Government officials have met with representatives from Telekom Malaysia (“TM”) in Kuala Lumpur on 10 September 2002, to brief and gauge TM’s interest on the proposed sale of a stake in PT Indonesian Satellite Corp.


We wish to reiterate that any overseas investments of the Company will be prudently and carefully considered to ensure there is no adverse effect on its overall Group strategy and credit rating.

We refer to the above news article appearing in New Straits Times, Business
Times section, page B3, on Wednesday, 11 September 2002, a copy of which is
enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:-
"TELEKOM Malaysia Bhd's executives are meeting with Indonesian officials to
discuss the possibility of buying a stake in PT Indonesian Satellite Corp
(Indosat), a Telekom executive says in Kuala Lumpur."
