Telekom Malaysia Berhad ("TM") wishes to confirm that it has indicated its interest and participation in the sale process of PT Indosat. However, a formal bid will only be submitted after going through the formal board approval process. We will continue to evaluate this opportunity in accordance with the Company's international investment strategy and policy.
We refer to the above news article appearing in New Straits Times, Business
Times section, page B3, on Saturday, 28 September 2002, a copy of which is
enclosed for your reference.
