He was a scholar of the then National Electricity Board (NEB) [currently known as Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)] and served as the Finance Manager of the utility company and played an instrumental role in the privatisation of NEB into TNB. He was the Managing Director of Binafikir Sdn Bhd, the lead consultant in the restructuring of Malaysian Airlines Berhad, until his resignation on 31 May 2004. He has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, a major shareholder of Telekom Malaysia Berhad, with effect from 1 June 2004. |
