Kuala Lumpur, 30/7/2004 – Telekom Malaysia today announced that its Chairman, YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Ir. Muhammad Radzi Haji Mansor will take over Chairmanship of Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad [“Celcom”], a wholly owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia when the existing Chairman of Celcom, YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Mohd. Munir bin Abdul Majid, becomes Chairman of Malaysian Airlines System Berhad with effect from 1 August 2004.

In addition, YBhg. Dato’ Ng Kong Yeam, YBhg Dato’ Lim Kheng Guan, and Encik Rosli bin Man will relinquish their Directorship in Celcom effective from 1 August 2004, in the move to reduce the size of the Celcom Board.

With the changes, the Board of Directors of Celcom shall comprise seven members. This is in line with the new guidelines announced by the Government with respect to the restructuring of the Board and Management of Government Linked Companies (GLCs), whereby a smaller board, comprising six to ten members, is encouraged for a more effective and focused management.

Following the changes, the Board of Directors of Celcom shall comprise:
