Subject	COURT OF APPEAL CIVIL APPEAL NO. W-02-425-2006 [KUALA LUMPUR HIGH COURT (COMMERCIAL DIVISION) CIVIL SUIT NO. D4 -22-1682-2005] MCAT (GEN) SDN BHD (Appellant) vs CELCOM (MALAYSIA) BERHAD (Respondent)

We refer to our announcement of 24 April 2006 wherein we had announced that MCAT (Gen) Sdn Bhd (“MCAT”) had filed a Notice of Appeal to the Court of Appeal against the dismissal of its application for an interim injunction against our wholly owned subsidiary, Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad (“Celcom”) by the High Court on 13th April 2006

The interim injunction that was sought was to restrain Celcom from:

(i) inter alia, entering into, continuing and/or completing any reseller's agreement with any third party or acting in a manner which contravenes, contradicts and/or causes detriment to MCAT’s alleged rights under its alleged appointment of a reseller of Celcom's services; and

(ii) disclosing MCAT’s confidential information and trade secrets to any third parties pending the disposal of this suit;

We wish to announce that the Court of Appeal has today heard and dismissed MCAT’s appeal with costs.
