Further to our announcement dated 22 February 2011 (Referance No.: TM-110222-4ACB7), TM wishes to advise that Khazanah Nasional Berhad (“Khazanah”) is a major shareholder of TM and is deemed to have an interest in the MOU by virtue of its shareholding of 42.19% of the issued and paid-up share capital in Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”), the holding company of Celcom. Tunku Dato’ Mahmood Fawzy Tunku Muhiyiddin, and his alternate Director, Dr Farid Mohamed Sani are Khazanah’s representatives on the Board of TM. Dr Farid is also a director on the Board of Celcom and Axiata.
Save as disclosed above, none of the other major shareholders and/or Directors of TM and/or persons connected to them has any direct or indirect interest in the MOU. This announcement is dated 23 February 2011. |
