We wish to inform the Exchange that the above statement was not attributed to any sources from Telekom Malaysia Berhad ("TM") and it is not TM's policy to comment on any possible strategies speculated by third parties.
An appropriate announcement would be made to the Exchange on any decision to list any of the subsidiaries within TM Group.
We refer to the above article appearing in The Edge, pages 72 and 75 on Monday,
11 October 2004, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:-
