We wish to confirm that Telekom Malaysia Berhad is not engaged in any discussion or negotiation with DIGI regarding the matter as reported.
We refer to the above news article appearing in Sin Chew Daily, Sin Chew
Business section, page 4, on Tuesday, 17 June 2003, a copy of which is
enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence
which states that market speculation had it that DIGI will be the next merger
target of Telekom.
