We refer to our announcement dated 25 February 2011 in relation to the Proposed Capital Distribution. On behalf of TM, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad is pleased to announce that Bank Negara Malaysia had, via its letter dated 20 April 2011, approved the issuance of redeemable preference shares of RM0.01 each in TM to TM’s non-resident entitled shareholders in connection with the Proposed Capital Distribution. In view of the above, all requisite approvals in relation to the Proposed Capital Distribution have been obtained, save for TM’s shareholders’ approval to be sought at TM’s forthcoming Extraordinary General Meeting on 10 May 2011. This announcement is dated 25 April 2011. |
