We refer to our announcement dated 17 March 2008 on the Proposed Option Scheme. TM wishes to announce that on 17 March 2008, it issued 137,592,300 new TM shares, representing approximately 4% of the issued and paid-up share capital of TM, at an issue price of RM9.70 per share. The issue price of RM9.70 represents a discount of approximately 5.6% to the 5-day volume weighted average market price of TM shares to 14 March 2008. RM9.70 is also the exercise price of options granted over 122,709,000 TM shares by TM to its eligible employees and executive director on 17 March 2008 under the Proposed Option Scheme. This announcement is dated 18 March 2008. This announcement is not an offer for sale of securities in any jurisdiction, including in the United States of America (“US”).
