Subject	MEMBERS’ VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP OF TELESAFE SDN BHD, MOBITEL SDN BHD AND TELEKOM PAYPHONE SDN BHD
Contents	INTRODUCTION Pursuant to Paragraph 9.19 of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (“TM”) wishes to announce that the following subsidiaries have commenced members' voluntary winding-up on 17 December 2007 (the "Winding-up") in accordance to Section 254(1)(b) of the Companies Act, 1965:- a) Telesafe Sdn Bhd (Company No. 358415-W) (“Telesafe”); b) Mobitel Sdn Bhd (Company No. 257108-P) (“Mobitel”); and c) Telekom Payphone Sdn Bhd (Company No. 178078-V) (“TPP”). Pursuant thereto, Encik Abu Bakar Rajudin of Messrs. Abu Bakar Rajudin Associates Sdn Bhd, Suite C, Resorts Business Suites, 18-2, Jalan Kampung Attap, 50460 Kuala Lumpur was appointed as the Liquidator.

1) Information on Telesafe, Mobitel and TPP

a) Telesafe

Telesafe is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TM, incorporated in Malaysia on 7 September 1995. Its authorised capital is RM5,000,000 comprising 5,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each, out of which 4,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each was fully paid-up. Telesafe’s principal activity was the provision of fire and industrial safety equipment and systems. Telesafe was inactive since 1999.

b) Mobitel

Mobitel is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TM, held via Telekom Enterprise Sdn Bhd and was incorporated in Malaysia on 22 January 1993. Its authorised capital is RM10,000,000 comprising 10,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each, out of which 8,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each was fully paid-up. Mobitel was involved in the provision of mobile telecommunication services and related research and development activities. Mobitel was dormant since 2002.

c) TPP

TPP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TM. It was incorporated in Malaysia on 21 January 1989 under the name Telecoms Payphone Sdn Bhd and had assumed its present name on 25 December 1989. Its authorised capital is RM10,000,000 comprising 10,000,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each, out of which 9,001,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each was fully paid-up. The principal activity of TPP was investment holding. TPP was dormant since 2004.

2) Rationale for the Winding-up

The Winding-up exercise of Telesafe, Mobitel and TPP is part of the rationalisation and streamlining exercise of TM Group.

3) Financial Effects of the Winding-up

The Winding-up will not have any material effect on the consolidated earnings and net assets of TM for the financial year ending 31 December 2007.

4) Directors' and Substantial Shareholders' Interest

None of the Directors and Substantial Shareholders of TM or persons connected with them has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Winding-up of Telesafe, Mobitel and TPP.
