He later had a brief stint in American Express in 1993 before joining Kumpulan FIMA Berhad in 1994, where he was subsequently appointed Senior Vice President, Finance/Company Secretary. He joined Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad in 2001 and was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) prior to his appointment as TM Group CFO on 1 May 2005. With effect from 25 April 2008, his designation is Executive Director/Group Chief Financial Officer of TM.
