We refer to our announcement dated 10 December 2007 in relation to, amongst others, the Proposed Demerger and our announcement dated 6 February 2008 in relation to the Proposed Acquisition. On behalf of TM’s Board of Directors, we, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad, are pleased to announce that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission had, through its letter dated 21 February 2008, approved the transfer of the 3G Spectrum Assignment (as defined in Section 5 of our announcement dated 10 December 2007) from TM to Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad. On behalf of TM’s Board of Directors, we are also pleased to announce that applications to the Securities Commission (“SC”) and the SC (on behalf of the Foreign Investment Committee) in relation to the Proposed Acquisition have been made today. This announcement is dated 22 February 2008. This announcement is not an offer for sale of securities in any jurisdiction, including in the United States of America (“US”).
