Description	RECENT MEDIA REPORTS LINKING TELEKOM MALAYSIA BERHAD (“TM”) TOAN OUT OF COURT SETTLEMENT OF LEGAL SUITS INVOLVING TAN SRI DATO' TAJUDDIN RAMLI ("TSDTR")
Further to our previous announcements on the above legal suits and the updates in our quarterly results, we wish to clarify as follows: TM confirms receipt of the letter dated 8 August 2011 issued by the Prime Minister's Department. However to date, TM has not received any proposal for settlement from TSDTR, and is not engaged in any negotiation with TSDTR in regard to an out of court settlement of the legal suits concerning TM. As a general rule, TM is always open to explore an amicable out of court settlement in any dispute it is involved in, provided the Board of Directors of TM are fully satisfied that based on proper legal advice, a settlement and the terms thereof are in the best interest of the Company and its stakeholders. A further announcement will be made if there is any material development. This announcement is dated 16 August 2011.
