Updates In Relation To The Agreements Entered Into By Telekom malaysia Berhad ("TM") In Iskandar Malaysia

Subject UPDATES IN RELATION TO THE AGREEMENTS ENTERED INTO BY TELEKOM MALAYSIA BERHAD (“TM”) IN ISKANDAR MALAYSIA
Contents Pursuant to Paragraph 9.28, Chapter 9 of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Listing Requirements, TM wish to provide updates in relation to the following Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC) entered into by the Company:-
1. MOU with Iskandar Regional Development Authority (“IRDA”)


    Under the terms of the MOU, TM is currently deploying and implementing the telecommunications infrastructure, particularly the broadband infrastructure in the identified areas within the Iskandar Malaysia region.

    TM is also collaborating with key developers to explore opportunities in the new development areas in Iskandar Malaysia such as high end residential, commercials, New Castle University campus, Lego Land and Medini in Nusajaya. Medini is particularly important as it has been designed to become the hub of Iskandar Malaysia.

    As a permanent member of IRDA’s quarterly roundtable meeting, TM has actively participated in major events organised by IRDA to promote Iskandar Malaysia to potential investors.

    There has been no material change to the MOU or any subsequent agreement arising from the MOU.
2. MOC with UEM Land

    TM has invested a total of RM3.5 Million to date since the signing of the MOC to develop a new telecommunications infrastructure in Nusajaya, Iskandar Malaysia region and would continue to develop and implement the required infrastructure in the identified areas within the region. Nusajaya has been targeted by TM as the key area for full HSBB deployment.

    There has been no material change to the MOC or any subsequent agreement arising from the MOC.
