Description	LEGAL ACTION BY WAY OF COUNTERCLAIM BY TAN SRI DATO’ TAJUDDIN RAMLI (“TSDTR”) AGAINST TELEKOM MALAYSIA BERHAD (“TM”) AND ITS SUBSIDIARY, TELEKOM ENTERPRISE SDN BHD (“TESB”) AND 36 OTHERS
We refer to our announcement dated 7 December 2009 and wishes to announce that TSDTR has today applied to withdraw his appeals to the Court of Appeal against:- (1) The High Court’s decision in allowing TM and TESB’s appeal against the decision of the Senior Assistant Registrar (“SAR”) in dismissing TM and TESB’s application to strike out the amended counterclaim of TSDTR (“Striking Out Appeal”); and (2) The High Court’s decision in allowing TM and TESB’s appeal against the decision of the SAR in allowing the re-amendment of TSDTR’s amended counterclaim and joinder of 8 present or former Directors and officers of TM and TESB as defendants in this matter (“Joinder/Amendment Appeal”). The Court of Appeal consequently ordered that:- (1) The appeals to be struck-out; (2) TSDTR to pay cost of RM10,000 to each Respondent for the Striking Out Appeal; and (3) TSDTR to pay cost of RM5,000 to each Respondent for the Joinder/Amendment Appeal. Based on the above order by the Court of Appeal, the legal suit brought by TSDTR against TM and TESB has effectively comes to an end. This announcement is dated 14 February 2012.
