We refer to our announcement dated 1 October 2018 in relation to the Sukuk Wakalah Programmes. On behalf of Telekom Malaysia Berhad’s Board of Directors, AmInvestment Bank Berhad and Maybank Investment Bank Berhad are pleased to announce that TM has today made its first issuance of IMTN of RM800 million in nominal value with tenure of 10 years pursuant to the IMTN Progamme. The proceeds raised from the issuance of the IMTN shall be utilized by TM and its subsidiaries for their capital expenditure and business operating requirements, which shall be Shariah-compliant. For the avoidance of doubt, TM can on-lend the proceeds of the Sukuk Wakalah to its subsidiaries via Shariah-compliant facilities for the afore-mentioned purposes, which shall be Shariah-compliant. The RM800 million IMTN issuance will not have any effect on the issued and paid-up share capital of TM and/or the substantial shareholders’ shareholding in TM.
