Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) refers to its previous announcement dated 21 March 2019 wherein it was announced that TM received a Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim dated 18 March 2019 from Malaysian Football League LLP (MFL).

TM wishes to announce that it has today filed the following documents:

i) Statement of Defence and Counterclaim against MFL; and

ii) Application to strike out MFL’s Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim.

Amongst others the reliefs sought by TM against MFL in the Counterclaim are:

1. A permanent final injunction to, among others, restrain MFL from infringing TM’s registered trade marks;

2. General damages;

3. Exemplary damages;

4. Aggravated damages;

5. Interest;

6. costs; and

7. any further reliefs and/or other Order that the Honourable Court deems fit and proper.

TM shall make further announcement if there are any material developments in respect of this matter.
