Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) refers to its previous announcement on 3 December 2020 in respect of the receipt of the Amended Statement of Claim dated 2 December 2020 from Vodoke Pte Ltd (VPL).

In furtherance thereto, TM has on 28 December 2020 filed the Amended Statement of Defence and Counterclaim against VPL at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.

The reliefs sought by TM in the Amended Counterclaim are:

1. damages to be assessed;
2. an order that VPL refund or pay TM for the cost of the 30,000 units of Set-Top Boxes purchased by TM;
3. interest at such rate and from such date as the Tribunal thinks fit to the date of theaward;
4. interest at such rate as the Tribunal thinks fit from the date of the award to full realisation;
5. costs; and
6. such further or other relief as the Tribunal deems fit and proper to grant.

TM shall make further announcement if there are any material developments in respect of this matter.
